Javier’s first major role while working on a film set was doing behind the scenes photography.

Most people complain about standing for certain amount of time, but Javier did not mind holding the boom mic while the sound mixer checked for quality issues.

As a Script Supervisor for an upcoming short film “The Dead Detective,” the work proved to be difficult for Javier, but he became more confident over time.

Javier made sure to look back at everything to maintain continuity within each scene.

Being bored on set is very common especially when trying to figure out next shots; however, finding the fun in boring moments can connect a crew.

Javier believes one of the greatest pieces of equipment to ever be on a film set is the dana dolly kit, a portable 16-wheel camera holder that helps create smooth tracking shots.

There is a lot of preparation that goes into making a film, especially when it comes to lightning, sound, and camera equipment.

Javier always enjoys admiring the view while being on a film set because traveling to known and unknown places alike makes each set feel fresh.

Each set is built over days by dedicated people from each department, and seeing the heart and soul that everyone pours into making a great film is a great inspiration for Javier,
