Just a few days before the 2025 Presidential Inauguration, thousands gathered for the 2025 People’s March, formerly known as the Women’s March. The event was a powerful demonstration of advocating for a variety of rights, including gender equality, racial justice, reproductive rights, and LGBTQ+ protection. The march brought people from all over the United States together.
Participants assembled at various locations across the city before marching together toward the Lincoln Memorial for a final rally.

Although there was some counter-protesting from demonstrators with opposing views, the event was peaceful, with no violent acts. Organizers and participants encouraged unity and non-violence, focusing on empowering communities and hope for the future of minorities.
As it took place just before the inauguration, this symbolized the desire for change. In a time of unprecedented political division, the People’s March showcased the power of unity.
