An HCC student enjoys the company of Owl Media’s unofficial mascot, Churro.

At Harford Community College, both students and staff alike are anticipating a successful fall semester. They shared with Owl Media the things that they are most excited for in the new semester.

HCC student Destiny Wright holds enthusiastic views about her academic achievements this upcoming semester. She adds, “The one thing I’m looking forward to is being on the Dean’s List. I keep saying it because it’s going to happen.”

Likewise, HCC Coordinator Barbara Travers maintains a similar positive outlook on the semester ahead for the students.

“Excitement fills the atmosphere at Harford Community College as the fall semester begins.”

She states, “I am looking forward to seeing our students be successful in every aspect of their college experience.”

Professor Rachel Kalwa looks forward to her favorite time of the school year: the fall semester. “I love back to school, fall semester is my absolute favorite. I really just want to get back into the swing of things,” she exclaims.

For HCC student Laura Piva, this semester serves as a closure for her journey here at HCC. 

She states, “I’m going to graduate next semester, so really excited about that and then moving on.”

All throughout HCC, hopes of a fulfilling semester are shared between the students and the staff.
