Students gathered on campus at HCC for an ice cream social to celebrate the first week back for the fall semester.

A tent set up on “the quad” provided much needed shade from the August heat.

Students were given one free wheel spin to win from a plethora of prizes.

Prizes consisted of tye dye kits, water bottles, hand sanitizer, bags, and more.

The event gave students a chance to relax with friends between classes.

HCC’s radio station, 91.1 WHFC, provided live music for the festivities.

Some students and faculty took a moment to have their faces painted by Laura Burke, HCC’s Student Engagement Specialist.

A wide variety of ice cream was provided to attendees looking to beat the heat.
