On July 24, thousands gathered in Washington, D.C. to protest against the arrival of Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the ongoing war in Gaza.

The protestors lined Pennsylvania Avenue directly in front of the U.S. Capitol Building as Netanyahu shared his address to Congress inside.

One group displayed a large puppet of President Biden criticizing U.S. funding to Israel.

Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein was one of many speakers present at the event.

Some attendants found more creative ways to protest, like this demonstrator waving the Palestinian flag atop a lamppost.

Various pets were also among the crowd, like this dog with a Palestinian flag on their back.

Further away from the densely packed crowd, this artist painted the protest as it happened.

Protestors formed a line with their banners and prepared for the march.
