Meet Brendan Flanagan, Owl Media’s Interim Technical Advisor.
Hi, I’m Brendan Flanagan, Owl Media’s Interim Technical Advisor.
I got involved with Owl Media in the spring of 2023 as an intern. The entire publication was extremely welcoming, supportive, and fun to work with throughout my time as an intern.
I worked more on the video side of the publication, helping with video shoots and editing videos together. While I’m not very focused on Journalism personally, I’ve followed the social media and video content world for years, and it’s something I’m very passionate about. I was glad to bring what I knew from years of making my own videos to a more professional area.
Towards the end of my internship, I was offered the opportunity to become Owl Media’s Editor-in-Chief during the summer, to help prepare the publication for the fall.
Since we’re entering a new semester, I’d like to extend an invitation to all students to join the staff of Owl Media. We hold staff meetings every Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 PM in Room J-023 at Joppa Hall. Between getting involved with production, journalism club-funded trips, and amazing people, there are many reasons to join the staff!
