Owl Media’s segment for WMAR-TV’s “Good Morning Maryland” January 2025
“Good Morning, Maryland” is a phrase that Marylanders have grown accustomed to hearing in the early hours of their days. This segment by WMAR-TV Baltimore serves as a way for various members of the community to connect with one another, whether it be while getting ready for work or checking for school closures on a snowy day.
Thanks to the recent success of Owl Media’s student-led staff at the 2023-2024 Pinnacle Awards sponsored by the College Media Association, the publication had the opportunity to shoot, edit, and have our own segment air on WMAR 2 News. The video was created solely by students, and highlights the six awards won during the Journalism Club’s visit to the National College Media Convention in New Orleans.
