On August 4, family, friends, and members of the community gathered on the Ma & Pa Trail in Bel Air to remember and honor the life of Rachel Morin, who lost her life on the trail nearly one year earlier.

Photos of Rachel Morin throughout her life were hung along the trail.

The audience, including former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler, and Colonel William Davis, listen to Morin’s mother, Patty Morin, as she speaks before the walk begins.

Signs containing vital information and updates on the case were placed at the entrance to the trail.

Patty Morin took a moment at each photo to explain the stories behind them and give some insight into Morin’s life.

Those in attendance included family members, friends, police, veterans, church members, and others in the community.

At the end of the walk, members of the audience took a moment to share their thoughts or fond memories.

Some of those in attendance brought flowers to place at the last photo of Morin on display.

The crowd took one final moment to sing together in worship before disembarking.
