Meet Owl staffer, Lucretia Caranda.
New environments will always lead to new challenges. Lucretia Caranda has been facing these challenges over the past few years as she continues to settle in at Harford and her new position in Owl Media.
Caranda is a theater major at Harford Community College. She moved from Baltimore County to Harford County in the year 2020.
“I miss my friends from Baltimore County, but Harford County’s big advantage is that it’s safer.”
Lucretia has enjoyed her time at Harford Community College and has found her experience welcoming and helpful. Caranda has found that the college has done a good job of giving her the proper experience required to prepare her for the future in her field.
“I’m into writing and being a studio director, so journalism can help me…accomplish…what I want to do in the future.”
“I like how you are able to go to the learning center to get help with any of your classes.”
Caranda is taking Multimedia Journalism I to help her future career as a media director. She hopes that the similarities between the two skill sets will help give her the experience needed to better approach the profession.
Lucretia has always had an interest in journalism, so taking a class that will help with her skill set was a no-brainer for her.
