Meet Owl Media’s Copy Editor, Isabella Toppi
It is a quiet, sunny, Tuesday afternoon on the Harford Community College campus. Hundreds of students are talking, walking, and interacting with one another. Through this crowd of students, however, is Isabella Toppi, finishing up revising an article that will be published to Owl Media’s Website.
Psychology major and the current Copy Editor for Owl Media, Isabella Toppi is working on becoming a therapist or counselor with also having a part in activism. She took on the Copy Editor role for Owl Media to help enhance those roles needed for activism.
Toppi explains, “If I can, I want to go into activism and work in the field covering protests.”
“I had a former interest in journalism, so I wanted to go in to test out if I really enjoyed writing articles,” says Toppi.
“Once I started getting into writing, I realized how much I do like it, and wanted to see what direction I could take it.”
She is hoping that by being a part of Owl Media and MC 208, her writing skills and knowledge of activism will grow to help with her future plans.
“Once I started getting into writing, I realized how much I do like it, and wanted to see what direction I could take it.” states Toppi.
She is hoping that this class, Multimedia Journalism I, will enhance her love for writing and her passion for activism.
Isabella hopes that this newfound experience in Owl Media and the Journalism class will enhance her writing skills and help her pursue the career she desires.
Toppi is a fresh, new light to the Owl Media group and strives to enhance her skills in media with this start in her journalism career.
