Since his enrollment with HCC in 2015, Adeyemi Ekundayo has worked with Owl Magazine, taking on various roles within the staff. After concluding his education at HCC in 2018, Ekundayo has continued to work with the magazine in a variety of ways.
He recently took on the role of Owl Magazine’s Content Advisor where he enjoys editing content quality with the staff. When asked about his favorite part of working on staff, Ekundayo names, “working with such talented individuals,” as his top pick. “I like to see how people follow guidelines and use feedback to their advantage.”
Throughout his time with Owl Magazine, Ekundayo has participated in staff shoots as both a videographer and an on-air reporter. He has worked as Editor in Chief, written articles in various magazine issues and more. Ekundayo encourages students who are interested in joining the staff to do so.
“Feel it out,” urges Ekundayo. “Everyone has their story to tell. Learn, commit, and take those skills to a level wherever you may go.”
In the future, Ekundayo plans on pursuing a humanitarian career while still expressing his creativity and finding more ways to connect with others.
