Throughout the spring of 2024, pro-Palestine encampments and protests have been held on campus grounds at universities across the United States, Europe, Canada, and several other nations.
Students and protestors at Johns Hopkins University gathered under the Palestinian flag to hear student speakers.
Some of the facilities at the encampment included a library, press tent, food & water station, and more.
As the rain set in, encampment faculty provided the crowd with ponchos and umbrellas.
This protestor with a megaphone at George Washington University read a list of names of children who have been killed in Gaza.
Metropolitan Police blocked off all entry for students, civilians, and press on the streets surrounding the initial protest.
After the initial protest was dispersed, a sizable police force continued to maintain a presence in the area.
Demonstrators with megaphones informed the crowd to go home and disperse, however a large group continued onward past the University Yard where the original encampment was located.

This Metropolitan Police officer smirked as the arrested individual was escorted away. The crowd was ordered to move back onto the sidewalk following the arrest.
Police and protestors quickly dispersed as the rain set in. No other arrests were made following the protest, and the individual has since been released.
